Josh Wilson

Senior Pastor

Meet Josh
As our Senior Pastor, Josh has a particular focus on preaching and teaching the Word of God, spiritual shepherding and direction for the flock, and leadership development.

He longs to see people treasure God as their supreme joy, understand God's Word in richer ways, experience the sweetness of belonging to the body of Christ, and be passionate to reach our community and our world with the hope of Jesus. Josh holds an mDiv in Pastoral Studies from Grace Theological Seminary and is an avid reader and writer.

In his free time, he is a huge sports fan and is "slightly" obsessed with Star Wars, but most of all he loves spending time with his wife, Anna.

Aaron Arnold

Associate Pastor
of Worship 

Meet Aaron
Aaron has been blessed with the privilege of shepherding the church in musical worship and the opportunity to teach wonderful theological truth through what we sing and do in our gatherings. Aaron has been known to break out into random impersonations from time to time.

He is married to Kate, and together they have 2 sons, Samuel and Silas and a daughter, Mia. His favorite verse is Ephesians 2:1-10.

Bonnie Gross

Executive Administrator

Meet Bonnie
Bonnie manages the administrative needs of the executive team, and the church, as needs arise.  Bonnie also manages the church events calendar and communictions.  She'll often be the first person to greet someone with a warm smile when visitors come to the office during the week.

Bonnie loves to bake cheesecakes, loves to watch sports and adores her family.  She is married to her husband, Rob, and they have three children.  

Jill Bell

Kids Canyon Coordinator

Meet Jill
Jill oversees the Sunday morning happenings for children in kindergarten through 5th grade so they see church as a place where they are loved. Jill does not enjoy coffee and tube slides scare her.

She is married to Paul, and together they have two sons. Her favorite verse is Zephaniah 3:17

Jason Davis

Ashland Christian School Administrator

Meet Jason
Jason emphasizes Christian education, the spiritual well-being & growth, and academic excellence of preschool through 8th grade students at Ashland Christian School.

Jason is married to Jenny, and together they have two children. Jason has an identical twin, Jim, and his favorite verse in Jeremiah 29:11.

Bill Stepp

Executive Director of Operations

Meet Bill
Bill is the Executive Director of Operations of Grace church. He oversees the Men’s Ministry, Local Impact, Grace Connect, and serves along with the Executive Team on the daily operations of the church.

Prior to working for Grace, Bill owned NextHome Next Stepp and Dilgard Auctions and worked as a real estate broker and auctioneer for over 30 years.

He’s married to Connie, and they are blessed to have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and an awesome granddaughter! His favorite verse is Philippians 4:13. Bill’s heart for the folks at Grace would be that they would come to know Christ at a deep level.

Nate Meiers

Associate Pastor
of Students and Families

Meet Nate
Nate oversees ministries to infants through senior high, providing teaching to students, as well as support and counsel to parents and ministry volunteers. He joined Grace staff in December 2024, with 23 years of previous pastoring experience. He holds an MDiv and a ThD in Restorative Theology with a concentration in Trauma Studies.

He’s been married to Laura since 1990 and they have two children: Matthias and Madeline, who is married to Scott. Nate enjoys martial arts, racquetball, and reading.

Deni Lange

Creative Arts Coordinator

Meet Deni
Deni helps oversee our A.V. team, produces Sunday morning services, does graphic design and video production here at Grace.

Deni is married to Barbie, they have 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. Beyond his role here at Grace, Deni is a professional model builder and enjoys utilizing his creative skills to make sci-fi, horror, and fantasy models. His favorite verses are Psalm 62:11 & Psalm 143:8.

Bethany Carman

Kids Cove Coordinator;
Administrative Assistant

Meet Bethany
Bethany makes sure all the kids know about God’s love for them and does that through preparing fun lessons, creating an environment for learning, and building caring relationships with the kids.

Outside of her role at Grace, Bethany loves reading, baking, and watching reality tv. Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:6.

Kris Swineford

Director of Maintenance and Facilities

Meet Kris
Kris keeps everything running here at Grace. He is passionate about doing his best at all times to serve Jesus, and he loves seeing young kids grow up, get saved, and serve Jesus.

Kris and his wife Joy have two kids and four grandchildren. His favorite verses are all of Psalm 23.

Dan Allan

Associate Pastor
of Ministry Development

Meet Dan
Dan loves to see people know God, enjoy God, and develop a passion for kingdom agendas.

Dan is married to Holly, and together they have two children and two grandchildren. Dan loves playing golf, tennis, and pickleball. His favorite verse is Psalm 16:11. 

John Rowe

Director of Finances and Facilities

Meet John
John is responsible to oversee the finances and facilities of Grace and Ashland Christian School. He leads the
Hospitality, and Business and Buildings and Grounds Teams. He also serves on the Executive Team, helping lead in the daily operations of the church. He has served Grace and ACS since 1983 in a variety of capacities.

He is married to Jane and together they have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren. His favorite verses are Psalm 116: 5-9. Johns heart for Grace is found in Paul’s prayer for the Colossians found in Colossians 1:9-14.

Paul Bell

Tech Coordinator

Meet Paul
Paul maintains our sound and lighting systems, and oversees our tech teams. Paul enjoys watching college football and is always using his various skills to serve.

Paul is married to Jill, and together they have two sons. Paul's favorite verse is Romans 8:28.

Dan Jackson

Associate Pastor
of Groups and Global Impact

Meet Dan
Dan helps to mobilize the people of Grace to impact the nations, connects adults into a multiplying, one-another community and helps the older generations to invest in the younger generations.

Dan is married to Rachel, and together they have four children and six grandchildren. Dan was once seen wearing tights in a high school production of The Princess & The Pea, and his favorite verses are Proverbs 3:5-6. 

Anne Goodman

Finance Coordinator;
Office Manager

Meet Anne
Anne does payroll, deposits, pays bills, and keeps track of all things financial for both Grace Church as well as Ashland Christian School.

Anne is married to her husband, George, and together they have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Anne and her mom are the only mother/daughter duo that have been inducted into the Bay County, MI Sports Hall of Fame. Her favorite verse is Ephesians 4:22-24.

Amy Jerabek

GriefShare Coordinator;
Counseling Ministries

Meet Amy
Amy facilitates various support groups and assists the pastoral staff with counseling individuals in the church body. Amy loves the sound of waves lapping on the beach and searching for beach glass.

She is married to her husband Jeff and has two sons, one daughter in law, and a super cute grandson. Her favorite verse is Isaiah 43:1.

Rachel Jackson

PUREJoy Coordinator

Meet Rachel
Rachel cares for families with children, both young and adults, who have developmental and/or physical special needs. Pure Joy provides a place where they are loved, kept safe, and given the love of Jesus. Rachel is so fun and something funny about her is that she once fell in a big tray of apple sauce in Central Asia.

She is married to Dan, and together they share four children, three children-in-law, and six grandchildren. One of her favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17.

Jena Wells

Wednesday Night Coordinator;
Women's Ministry

Meet Jena
Jena coordinates Children's Ministry on Wednesday Nights and helps to coordinate our Women's Ministries. Jena loves the smell of horse barns and leather.

She is married to her husband, Nathan, and together they have three sons. Her favorite verse is Matthew 6:33.

Elders

Roger Snyder
Roger is a physician in Ashland and he loves photography. He is married to Perri, and together they have three children and two grandchildren. His favorite verses  are Hebrews 4:14-16. Roger would love to see all the people at Grace living joyfully in the reality that God is always with them. Roger counts it a privilege to teach the Carpenters Grace Group and to regularly serve as a volunteer physician at the Ashland Christian Health Center.
Steve Howell
Steve is retired but formerly worked at Ashland University as an administrator, and he loves to play tennis & ride bikes. Steve is married to Heidi, and together they have three children and five grandchildren. His favorite verses are 1 Peter 5:6-7. He serves on the Mission Commission at Grace and also helps with the Bible Study at the prison (RICI) in Mansfield. Let us stay faithful to the one true God for His Word is truth, light and life.
Dan Raudebaugh
Dan Raudebaugh is an Assistant Fire Chief for the Ashland Division of Fire. He is married to Julie and they have two sons, a daughter in-law, and one grandson. Dan and Julie enjoy camping, golfing and hunting together. His favorite verses are Proverbs 3:5-8. Dan wants to see the next generation follow Jesus. He also serves on the
Security Team at Grace.

George Goodman
George serves as a mental health counselor at
Cornerstone Counseling of Ashland, and prays and hopes for the renewing of minds of the people of God. George is married to Anne, and enjoys spending time with their two children, their spouses and three grandchildren. George serves as an online host for the Sunday morning worship service, teaches in various capacities, attends Step Up Grace Group, and is a member of the Men’s Ministry Team.
His favorite passages of Scripture are Mark 10:29-31 and Ephesians 5:25-33.
Brad Hendrickson

Brad is a retired Dentist here in Ashland. He has one daughter and he has been in a curling club! His current favorite verse is Colossians 1:9-10, which he blames on
his Grace Group teacher since they’re studying Colossians. Brad is one of the leaders and teachers of Victory Grace Group. What he wants to see in the people of Grace is the same thing he wants to see in his own life to meet with
Jesus every day, in the Word and in prayer. How can that not help but change our lives?

Patrick Frazer
Patrick is a software engineer and enjoys hiking with his family. He is married to Bethany, and together they have two children. Patrick serves on the safety and security team. Inspired by his favorite verse, Ephesians 2:10, he would like to see everyone at Grace experience the saving grace of Jesus and those works of service that God has prepared for each of us to do.
Jerry Strausbaugh
Jerry is the Executive Director for Appleseed Community Mental Health Center here in Ashland. He is married to Jane, who he describes as “definitely his better half”. Together they have three adult children and two grandchildren. In addition to the elder board Jerry serves as a leader for the Victory Grace Group, in the Cove, and for Ashland Special Needs Respite Ministry. His heart for Grace Church is that it is a place for individuals and families to find redemption and healing in God’s grace. His favorite verse is 1 Samuel 10:6.
Jan Howe
Jan is retired from working for the City of Ashland. He is married to Sharon, and together they have four children and twelve grandchildren. His favorite verse is John 3:16. Jan helps to lead Skylighters Grace Group, and his heart for Grace is that we would grow in our faith and love for God, and that our love and concern for the people of Grace would be evident in our lives.

Doug Brown
Doug is a retired CEO who is married to his high school
sweetheart, Emily. Every year they celebrate the anniversary of their first phone call!  Together they have two children and two grandsons. His favorite verses are Romans 5:8 and Ephesians 2:8-9. Doug is currently serving on
Committee on Staff, the Business Team, and the Elder Board. He and Emily attend the Galileans Grace Group. Doug’s hope for the people of Grace is found in  Romans 15:13 - “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
Virlen Jarvis
Virlen has the privilege of being a husband of just one lovely wife, Kim. They have three children, Micah, Mikayla and Malachi, designed by God to keep the sanctification process real and needed in his life.  He enjoys the challenge of being a Network Technician for Verizon making communications possible for people to stay connected. His favorite verse to recite is 1 Thessalonians 5:17 but could always do better at practicing since God’s network never drops. He has enjoyed watching his brothers and sisters in Christ strive to know our Lord better through handling the Word of truth here at Grace, then walking in faith with them revealing a Savior to a world that needs to know him. Some of his favorite ways to watch our church grow are through being a part of All 4 One Grace group, while as a group they assist with Canyon students once a month; seeing our commitment to missions as a Church; and by serving with the Ashland Special Needs ministry, who care for individuals with special needs.
